STEM careers pay 50%-70% more than non-STEM careers.

Watch the video below to learn why keeping this in mind for your middle school or high school age child is critical.

What I’m about to share can make the difference between your child having a comfortable and secure life in their future, or living a life that is constantly filled with stress, disappointment and struggles.

So here’s a life changing fact:

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM careers pay 50%-70% more than non-STEM careers.

Even if your child is in elementary or middle school… This is important to think about.

It is the difference between your child entering the workforce with skills and interests that put them in a job that affords a comfortable lifestyle with lots of options vs. a field where there are few opportunities and they may struggle to make ends meet for years of their life.

Even if your child is into art, writing, music, history or anything in between, having a solid STEM (science, technology, Engineering and Math) background can have a huge impact on the career choices they have and the lifestyle they live.

We want our kids to be happy. And money by itself won’t make people happy. But, having the chance to get higher paying jobs gives out kids huge freedom.

Can I get serious for a moment? Struggling financially is hard. Really hard. Especially if it goes on for years. It destroys joy, relationships and health.

But, by giving our kids skills that qualify them for higher-paying jobs, we give them the chance to avoid this major life challenge.

Instead, we give them the freedom to pursue their dreams. It also means they can pursue things beyond what just earns money, because they’ve already handled that area of life.

Here is why you should care about fostering an interest in science, engineering and math in your kids…

If they are already into a STEM area, that’s great. Just keep feeding that interest.

But maybe they don’t have an interest in a STEM topic yet. Having a great science and math education might be the turning point that sparks this interest. They just need a good teacher and hands-on activities to inspire them.

Or maybe they are more into music, art or writing. That’s okay. There are now many fields that combine these with science and technology. This lets your child pursue their passion while still having a great income. AND this in turn allows them to more fully enjoy whatever they love because they are not worried about paying the bills.

Even if your child is only in elementary school, this is the time to spark an interest that can last a lifetime. And turn into a life-changing career.

So, whatever your child’s interests, think of STEM topics as not just a required subject, but rather a gateway to a better life for your children.
