You can pick out people country wise, state wise or you can look through the special education section for people in the same boat as you. The sports and extracurricular section is a great place to find interesting stuff for your homeschooler to do.
You get the name of the group, their purpose, a contact person’s name along with a phone number or an email id, and the url of the website if it exists. You can do all your research online before you choose to pick a group for your homeschool kids to socialize with. If you happen to be part of a group you can even put up your own listing on the website. Take a look at the section that assists you to list your local store, classes, event, attraction, etc. It tells you about the rates for inserting your listing on the website.
The website also offers a selection of upcoming events that you should keep track of for something interesting in your area. Not to mention the fact that it hosts a forum where you can join in the conversation asking your queries and contributing answers with your own expertise. Although for the majority of homeschoolers, the site is most likely to be just a tool that they can use to connect to other like minded individuals, you never know, you may just end up finding some special friends here.
