About Aurora

Hi! I'm Aurora, and I am a mechanical engineer, university instructor, private pilot, astronomer, and work on real rockets. I spend my time getting kids crazy-wild about science by taking them from bored to brainiac in less time than it takes to burn toast.
Where in the world…?

What our family has most enjoyed about this kit is that the kids can really “play” with this. Learning is fun and an “accidental” benefit from what we are doing. Everyone from my teens to my preschoolers can glean something from science time. We have more variations on wind propelled cars than I thought possible. Combining the philosophy from a major science camp that has a lot of cool, unusable, projects we now can make real working objects from household things and the materials from our kit. Be prepared to have an entertaining time while learning the concepts of a complete electrical circuit!

I have made just about all the experiments that you have! I designed the burglar alarm to go on my door so that it had 2 switches (1 inside-1 outside). It would go off every time my mom opened the door, so she made me take it off. Otherwise, I have tons fun!
